I was asked by Mikey, proprietor of the Russian Blog This Is Pop , to make a mix tape full of Summer vibes. I went for it on the third night of August. I wrote a little bit about that hot and fickle season as well. No shirt, no shoes, new Columbus Clippers hat from an old lady at a garage sale, some headphones. I call it DEMO DITCH SUMMER MIX 2013. Download it or stream it HERE for free. Feel free to share, it’s also on my blog.

Get there! Salinas Records played a big part in shaping Delay’s identity as a DIY band. We’ve made many good friends because of the label and have been given a generous push to continue making music, touring and booking shows on our own terms. Thanks Marco!
Salinas eloquently explained by Bobby Columbo.
In 2003, Marco Reosti put out a 7” for his own band, Mumbler, under the label “Salinas,” named for the hometown of his favorite author. For most of the next decade, Salinas Records was housed in a basement storage unit rented for $25 a month on Detroit’s 2nd Avenue. In 10 years, Marco has put out almost 50 records, many of which contribute to the modern pop punk canon. Neither hyper-punk, nor particularly slick pop, Salinas is a reliable middle ground of earnest, gritty expression with faithfully melodic underpinnings.-bc

We can’t express enough thanks to all those who made our tour to the U.K so good. Even after being awake for over 24hrs just to get home to ‘normal’ life here in Columbus, I was feeling a lot of love. Martha, Discount Horse Records, Kate’s Party, Spoonboy and all the lovely souls we brushed up against in the old country, who fed us and let us stink up their homes or shared the stage with us- we are grateful. <3
